For over fifty years, Sunset Marquis has served as a home-away-from-home for incredible musicians like Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Blondie, Black Sabbath, The Killers, Slash, Chris Cornell, Green Day, Aerosmith, Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Kings of Leon and many, many more.

The music industry has played a significant role in securing this serene garden oasis its iconic status. To pay homage to those roots, Sunset Marquis continues its tradition this summer with its acoustic music showcase, Live@Sunset Marquis. Each summer we get the chance to discover new talent and give back to the entertainment community that has supported us so well throughout the years. Previous artists include Gary Clark, Jr., Run River North, ZZ Ward, LEMMO, Ana Cristina, Alex & Sierra (X-Factor Winners), Madeline Fuhrman, Hamish Anderson, Zander Vera, The Brevet, The Bones of J.R. Jones, and Lena Fayre to name a few.

Julian Frampton is a singer and songwriter from Los Angeles, CA. He is the son of Grammy Award-winning guitarist Peter Frampton. Julian co-wrote and provided vocals on the track Road to the Sun, which appeared on Peter’s album “Thank You, Mr. Churchill”. In support of that song, Julian performed on multiple radio and tv shows. Occasionally joining his father on stage throughout the years, Julian has sung alongside world acclaimed guitarists such as Dean DeLeo of The Stone Temple Pilots and Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick. He’s also had the opportunity to record with legendary drummer, Matt Cameron of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. Now, Julian and his father embark on the Frampton RAW: Acoustic tour twice a year with Julian opening the show.

It was great meeting Julian and his band. I captured some portraits before his gig outside the Kieth Richards Suite in the gardens and then also captured his performance opening the 2018 Sunset Marquis Concert Series.
